Exploring the Gardens of Corfu | By Meghan Galloway
This October, I was lucky enough to join the Boxwood tour to Corfu. A Greek island famed not just for its sun-kissed beaches and turquoise seas, but for its lush, subtropical landscapes and mesmerising gardens. The Hotel Rodostamo was a wonderful base for our tour, rooms were modern, comfortable, and the staff could not have been more helpful. Its privileged location allowed for easy access to all the gardens listed in the itinerary, one of which, a highlight of the tour, was the Rothschild Estate. Comprised of the two beautiful peninsulas of Strongilo & Kanonas and nurtured by three generations of the family, the design skilfully embraces

the wild landscape with more intense planting in courtyards and around the beautiful pools. One of my favourite moments during this visit was having the opportunity to visit the infinity pool situated within a former quarry, it was absolutely breathtaking! Another experience I thoroughly enjoyed was our very special visit to Loutses - Olive Farm. Our host was brilliant in educating us about olive oil and we even got to taste some of it! To top off the experience, they had saved a 2-year-old olive tree that needed planting for our group, a truly fantastic way to end a special tour.
It was an excellent week getting to know our clients, Kirsty Fergusson and Sophie Piebenga, I would not hesitate to join them on another tour!
