We invite you to join us on a captivating journey through rich motoring heritage. Travelling through some of England’s most picturesque landscapes and historic regions, we uncover the stories of the pioneers, designers, and visionaries who helped establish Britain as a global leader in motoring.
Highlights include a visit to the renowned Morgan Motor Company, where traditional craftsmanship and hand-built engineering continue to shape its distinctive cars, and the world-famous Goodwood Revival, an extraordinary celebration of historic motorsport where the sights, sounds, and spirit of a golden age are brought vividly to life. Along the way, we gain fascinating insights into design, engineering, and manufacturing, while discovering remarkable collections that chart the evolution of the motorcar.
Together, these experiences create a memorable journey through the history, passion, and ingenuity that continue to define British motoring today.
Day to day Itinerary
Day 1 - Sunday 12th September
Arrive in London where we will meet at the Queens Gate Hotel with time to settle in before dining together at a classic British restaurant.
Day 2 - Monday 13th SEPTEMBER
This morning, we depart the hotel for a visit to a private car collection. After some free time for lunch, we continue to our next visit, the London Transport Museum, where we explore the history of British transportation. Established in 1980, the museum houses 200 years’ worth of London’s transport history including Victorian cabs and post-war vehicles. The collection spans the evolution of travel; here you will see iconic vehicles such as the famous red buses and the first underground trains. Return to the Queens Gate Hotel for a free evening.
Day 3 - TUESDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER
Leaving the bustling streets of London behind, we depart for our second base in the Cotswolds, stopping along the way at the Aston Martin Heritage Trust Museum. Here, the collection ranges from A3’s, the oldest surviving Aston Martin in the world, to the cars of today, as well as a vast scale model collection and historic racing memorabilia. After arriving in Broadway ad checking-in at our hotel, we meet for lunch at a local restaurant before an afternoon at leisure.
Day 4 - WEDNESDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER
Full day excursion to Malvern, the proud home of the Morgan Motor Company for more than 110 years after being founded in 1909. This special visit will include an exclusive tour of the Morgan Motor Company factory, where you’ll have the chance to test drive some of their renowned cars and enjoy a classic afternoon tea. Enthusiasts at the factory will be there to guide you through every step of the experience, providing expert insights and answering any questions you may have about these iconic vehicles. Return to the Lygon Arms.
Day 5 - THURSDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER
Our final day in the Cotswolds takes us to the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-water, famous for its honey-coloured stone architecture and the lovely River Windrush. Here we will visit the Cotswold Motoring Museum, this quaint museum is packed full of cars, motorbikes, toys, caravans and motoring memorabilia. The collection started back in 1978 and spans from Austin, Ford and Jaguar all the way to Morgan, Morris and Triumph. After free time for lunch, our final visit is to The British Motor Museum. This museum covers a whopping 65 acres of land and features a Motoring Cinema, a purpose-built collections centre to house over 200 reserve collection vehicles and a chronological ‘Time Road’. Some of their most popular featured displays include the Land Rover Defender used in the opening sequence of the James Bond Skyfall movie, the ‘fabulously pink’ FAB 1 from Thunderbirds and a replica of the DeLorean from Back to the Future 2. Return to the Lygon Arms for our final night and a group dinner.
Day 6 - FRIDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER
Today we journey down to Chichester, where our entire day is dedicated to the Goodwood Revival with the Admission and Grandstand package included. This immersive experience is a must do for any classic car enthusiast and attracts 150,000 visitors annually from all over the globe. Don your best period attire and prepare for a day of thrilling vintage car races, showcasing the very best of motorsport history. As well as the exciting races, you’ll be able to enjoy period fashion, air displays and captivating exhibitions that celebrate the golden age of motoring. The atmosphere at Goodwood is truly one of a kind, where every detail transports you back in time, an unforgettable day for all who attend. Head to the Solent Hotel & Spa to check-in for our first night.
DAY 7 - SATURDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER
Stepping away from Chichester we travel to Beaulieu for the National Motor Museum, one of the UK’s most celebrated automotive attractions. Here, we explore an extensive collection of over 250 vehicles, ranging from early motoring pioneers to iconic models from the 20th century. The museum’s exhibits offer stunning examples of classic cars, racing legends and rare gems that highlight the evolution of design and engineering. Today we dine together for a group lunch before a free afternoon to explore Portsmouth. Here, you can visit some of the UK’s key naval landmarks including the historic dockyard, home to HMS Victory and the Mary Rose Museum. Return to the Solent Hotel & Spa.
DAY 8 - SUNDAY 19TH SEPTEMBER
Return to the Goodwood Revival for a full day with the Admission and Grandstand package included. For those of you who may wish to elevate your Goodwood experience, VIP hospitality packages can be booked upon request, please let us know when you book. Return to the Solent Hotel & Spa for our final night.
DAY 9 - MONDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER
Our final day of The Grand Tour takes us to the Brooklands Museum, where motoring and aviation history come together. Highlights include Concorde, the iconic supersonic airliner that became the first passenger aircraft to carry 100 people at twice the speed of sound, and the legendary Napier-Railton, the aero-engined racing car that set the benchmark as the fastest car to lap the Brooklands Outer Circuit. We round off the tour with a farewell group dinner before continuing to London for our final overnight stay.
