Join us for The Grand Tour, an unforgettable journey through England’s rich motoring heritage, where the history of the British motorcar comes to life through the places, people, and cars that helped shape it.

Our journey begins by setting the stage at the British Motor Museum, tracing the evolution of British motoring from its earliest days. From there, we travel through the heart of Britain’s motoring story, visiting Coventry and its legendary automotive heritage, discovering the remarkable collections at Beaulieu and Brooklands, and stepping inside the world of Morgan, where craftsmanship and hand-built engineering continue a tradition more than a century old.

But this is much more than a tour of museums and motorcars. Along the way, we’ll travel through some of England’s most beautiful landscapes, explore historic towns and villages, enjoy traditional country pubs and tea rooms, and visit Highclere Castle, made famous as the setting for Downton Abbey.

And building toward it all are two unforgettable days at the Goodwood Revival. Here, the history we’ve been exploring throughout the tour is brought spectacularly to life, with legendary racing cars, period fashion, aviation, music, exhibitions, and an atmosphere that transports you to the golden age of British motoring.

From the pioneers who built Britain’s first motorcars to the craftsmen still building them by hand today, The Grand Tour is a celebration of the history, ingenuity, passion, and enduring character of British motoring.

Come along for the cars, stay for the history, the countryside, the pubs, the friendships—and, of course, Goodwood.

Day to day Itinerary

Day 1 - Sunday 12th September

Arrive in Windsor and meet at The Castle Hotel, where we’ll have time to settle in and get acquainted before gathering for our first dinner together at a classic British restaurant. If you arrive early, there’s plenty to explore in Windsor. You can self-book a tour of Windsor Castle or simply wander the High Street, with its shops, restaurants, traditional pubs, and tea rooms. And, of course, there’s always time to pick up one last little something for your Goodwood outfit! This evening is our chance to meet fellow travellers, relax, and look forward to the motoring adventure ahead.

Day 2 - Monday 13th SEPTEMBER

This morning, our motoring adventure truly begins as we depart the hotel for a visit to the Aston Martin Heritage Trust Museum. Here, we’ll discover the remarkable story of one of Britain’s most iconic marques. The collection ranges from A3, the oldest surviving Aston Martin in the world, to cars of the present day, along with an extensive scale-model collection and fascinating historic racing memorabilia.

We then continue to the British Motor Museum, where the story of British motoring comes vividly to life. Set across an impressive 65 acres, the museum features a Motoring Cinema, a purpose-built Collections Centre housing more than 200 vehicles from the reserve collection, and the chronological “Time Road,” which takes visitors through the evolution of the British motorcar. Along the way, you’ll encounter cars spanning the history of British motoring, including marques and models rarely seen in America, from Alvis, Singer, and Frazer Nash to early MGs, Jaguars, and many more.

This is the perfect introduction to The Grand Tour, setting the stage for the history, craftsmanship, innovation, and passion for the motorcar that we’ll explore throughout our journey. We finish the day at The Lygon Arms in Broadway, our charming home for the next three nights.

Day 3 - TUESDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER

Depart by coach for our visit to Coventry Transport Museum, located in the heart of Coventry, a city that was once at the centre of Britain’s motor industry. Coventry played a pivotal role in the development of the British motorcar, and today the museum tells that remarkable story through one of the world’s most important collections of British road transport. The museum houses the largest collection of British-made road transport held in public ownership, including 300 cycles, 120 motorcycles, and 250 cars and commercial vehicles, along with more than a million archive and ephemera items. Together, these collections offer a fascinating look at the people, companies, innovation, and engineering that helped establish Coventry—and Britain—as a major force in the world of motoring.

After our visit to the museum, we travel back to the Cotswolds, stopping along the way for lunch at a traditional country pub. This evening is free for you to relax and enjoy at your leisure.

Day 4 - WEDNESDAY 15TH SEPTEMBER

A full-day excursion to Malvern, the proud home of the Morgan Motor Company for more than 110 years. Founded in 1909 by H.F.S. Morgan, Morgan has remained closely connected to Malvern throughout its history.

Our special visit will include an exclusive tour of the Morgan Motor Company factory, where the cars have been hand-built on the same site since 1919. You’ll have the opportunity to see the craftsmanship and traditional techniques that make Morgan cars so distinctive, and even take a test drive in one of their renowned cars. Morgan enthusiasts from the factory will be on hand to guide us through every step of the experience, sharing their expertise and answering your questions about these iconic vehicles and the company that continues to thrive today.

We’ll enjoy lunch together before returning to the Lygon Arms, where we’ll gather for dinner together.

Day 5 - THURSDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER

Our final day in the Cotswolds takes us to the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water, famous for its honey-coloured stone buildings and the lovely River Windrush. Here we will visit the Cotswold Motoring Museum, a charming museum packed with cars, motorbikes, toys, caravans, and motoring memorabilia. The collection began in 1978 and spans the history of British motoring, featuring marques from Austin, Ford, and Jaguar to Morgan, Morris, and Triumph.

For those wishing to take a break from cars, there will be ample opportunities for shopping, tea rooms, pubs, and simply enjoying the scenic surroundings. After some free time for lunch, we begin our journey south toward Chichester.

Before reaching our third base for the tour, we’ll stop at the renowned Highclere Castle, a Grade I-listed country house dating to 1679, set within a magnificent park designed by Capability Brown. It may be even better known as the home of the Crawley family in Downton Abbey.

Following time to explore the estate, we continue south and arrive at The Solent Hotel & Spa, our base for the next four nights. This evening, we’ll gather for dinner together and the opportunity to relax and share our first impressions of this latest chapter of our journey.

Day 6 - FRIDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER

Today is the 1st of two days our journey has been building toward: the Goodwood Revival. With your Admission and Grandstand package included, you’ll experience one of the world’s great celebrations of classic motoring and historic motorsport. This immersive experience is a must for any classic car enthusiast, attracting visitors from around the globe. Don your best period attire and prepare for a thrilling day of vintage motor racing, showcasing some of the finest cars and drivers from motorsport history.

But the racing is only part of the magic. Throughout the Goodwood estate, you’ll find period fashion, spectacular air displays, fascinating exhibitions, and an extraordinary collection of vendors offering everything from vintage clothing and homewares to motoring memorabilia and automotive treasures. Most of all, it’s the atmosphere that makes the Goodwood Revival so special. From the moment you arrive, every detail has been created to transport you back to a golden age of British motoring. After everything we’ve experienced together throughout the tour, Goodwood provides the perfect grand finale—two unforgettable days and a fitting celebration of Britain’s enduring passion for the motorcar.
